Attorney Douglas Hammond of British Columbia, CAN; ethical troll

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Douglas Hammond with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from the Windsor School of Law.

The British Columbia Law Society Disciplinary Counsel found Doug guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Failed to provide substantial or any legal services in connection with the Trust Matter
• Failed to make reasonable inquiries about the circumstances of the Trust Matter
• Failed to make a record of the results of any inquiries made about the circumstances of the Trust Matter
• Improperly used firm’s trust account to receive and disburse $474,000.00 USD on client’s behalf

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Law Society punished Doug by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and a $2,500 fine plus $1,500.00 in costs.

As we speak (ca. November 2019), Doug practices with Douglas J.W. Hammond Law Corporation at 815 Main Street in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
