Attorney Victor Block of Laguna Beach, CA; ethical troll
The State of California presented Victor Lamont Block with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from Howard University School of Law.
The California State Bar Court found Vic guilty of the following misconduct.
-
Failed to provide client with written disclosure that he previously had a direct attorney-client relationship with Ford in connection with numerous Song-Beverly actions
-
Accepted representation of a client without providing written disclosure to the client where respondent knew or reasonably should have known that he previously had a legal relationship with a party in the same matter and the previous relationship would substantially affect his representation of the client
-
Failed to obtain the informed written consent of client to represent another client in same matter
-
Accepted employment adverse to a former client where, by reason of the representation, Vic obtained confidential information material to the employment, without the
-
informed written consent of the former client
-
Failed to keep a client reasonably informed of significant developments in her case
As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Vic by gifting him with a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license.
As we speak (ca. August 2019), Vic practices with the Block Law Group at 1100 South Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, California
