Attorney Roger Keithley of Denver: Cheerleader for Attorney Felons

The state of Colorado provided Robert L. Keithley with a law license in 2004 after he graduated from the University of Denver School of Law.

In one matter, Roger was a member of a hearing board that was formed to consider the application of attorney Nick Avila Jr. of Denver who was convicted of receipt of and possession of cocaine, forgery and conspiracy to have his law license reinstated.

For additional information on the criminal conduct that Avila committed, view the URL at the end of this article.

Prior to applying for reinstatement, Nicky the Felon spent eight (8) years in prison.

Unbelievably, Roger voted to reinstate Nicky’s law license despite his criminal record. Apparently, Roger was of the firm belief that Nicky had a constitutional right in Colorado to earn a dishonest living practicing law.

And lastly, you can be assured that neither Roger, the Colorado State Bar or the Colorado Supreme Court will take any steps to assure that Nicky is required to post a warning on his office door detailing the crimes he was convicted of committing.

As we speak (ca. September 2020), Roger practices his brand of law with Antero Law LLC at 1700 Broadway in Denver, Colorado.
