Attorney Jeffrey Rehner of Ontario, CAN; ethical troll

The Law Society of Ontario presented Jeffrey Michael James Rehner with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from the University of Ottawa School of Law.

The State Bar Court found Jeff guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

• Engaged in professional misconduct
• Failed to serve his client for over a year in family law matter
• Failed to promptly respond to opposing counsel communications
• Did not fully disclose circumstances regarding two motions in family law matter that resulted in orders that serious cost his client
• Dishonesty seriously prejudiced his client’s rights

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Committee of the Law Society of Upper Canada punished George by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.
