Attorney Jon Sannes of Erskine, MN; serial offender

The state of Minnesota presented Jon K. Sannes with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Law.

The Office of Lawyer Regulation found Jon guilty of the following misconduct.

Jon’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal
• Failed to communicate with client

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Jon by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Jon’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to comply with terms of probation re: DUI conviction
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Jon by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

Jon’s 3^rd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• After learning that his client made a false statement to a tribunal, failing to inform opposing counsel or the opposing party
• Failed to correct client’s false statement,
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Minnesota Supreme Court punished Jon by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.
