Former Judge William Davis of Bridgeport, OH; negligent loser

The state of Ohio presented David William Davis with a law license in 1973 after he graduated from the Ohio State University School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Davey guilty of the following misconduct.

It should be noted that prior to the misconduct set forth below, Davey was employed as a Belmont County judge and a federal bankruptcy trustee.

  • Failed to adequately supervise office staff
  • Failure to supervise employee led to theft of more than $125,000 from Davey and nearly $60,000 from his client trust account over a nine-year span of time

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Davey by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. July 2019), Davey practices with Davis & Kotur Law Office Co LPA at 407A Howard Street in Bridgeport, Ohio.
