Attorney John Okuley of Columbus, OH; ethical gremlin

The state of Ohio presented John Joseph Okuley with a law license in 2003 after he graduated from Ohio State University School of Law.

The Columbus Bar Association found Johnny guilty of the following misconduct.

• Misconduct involved selfish and dishonest motives
• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Engaged in false/deceptive practices during ethics investigation [Screw you, said Johnny!]
• Deliberately drove his car in front of a bicyclist and stopped suddenly, causing the bicyclist to strike the rear of his car
• A witness to bicyclist incident recorded it with his mobile phone and when Johnny told him to stop recording, a physical altercation ensued causing the witness to drop his phone, which led to Johnny stomping on the phone and shattering it
• Pled guilty to second-degree criminal damaging for destroying witness cell phone
• Deposition testimony at disciplinary hearing was “clearly false and contradicted the testimony of all witnesses at the scene, as well as the recording, and the record of the bicyclist’s 9-1-1 call”

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Johnny by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license.

And lastly, because Ohio Attorney Misfits are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Johnny was never criminally
