Attorney Robert Malone of Alexandria, LA; cheating slacker

The state of Louisiana presented Robert Wesley Malone with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from the Mississippi School of Law.

The Office of Disciplinary Counsel found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to return client files upon termination
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to refund unearned fees upon termination [cheater]
  • Failed to properly withdraw client representation
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Bobby!)
  • Filed client’s post-conviction application past the filing deadline
  • In one criminal case, met with client only one time and that was in order to collect his attorney fee
  • Client did not hear from Bobby for 18 months and was forced to hire another attorney

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Louisiana Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. June 2019), Bobby practices his brand of law at 1024 8th Street in Alexandria, Louisiana.
