The state of Oregon presented Lewis Irwin Landerholm with a law license in 2010 after he graduated from Willamette University School of Law.

The Oregon State Bar found Louie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
• Failed to safeguard client funds
• Commingled client funds with personal funds
• Withdrew client funds as payment for fees prior to earning said fees
• Failed to ensure non-lawyer’s conduct compatible with his professional responsibilities
• Misconduct involved multiple offenses

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court punished Louie by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Oregon Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Louie.
