Attorney Jeffrey S. Benice of Costa Mesa, CA; deadbeat loser

The California Supreme Court presented Jeffrey S. Benice with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from the University of Los Angeles (UCLA) Law School.
In the recent past, U.S. District Judge Lloyd George of Nevada ordered that Benice turn over $238,300 to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
Judge George determined that Benice’s fee was derived from his clients’ unlawful conduct and was subject to consumer restitution. The judge allowed Benice to keep $136,700 for his work but ordered him to return the balance of $238,300.
Judge George imposed a $18.9 million judgment against Benice’s clients for running a fraudulent “Internet kiosk” business in violation of the FTC Act and the agency’s franchising rule.
Despite the Court’s order that he repay the FTC, Jeffrey refused to so act. Said refusal caused the FTC toi seek a contempt action against Jeffrey.
Jeffrey’s Hyperbolic (BS) Defense for not paying FTC
In court papers in responding to the FTC demand that he be found in contempt, Jeffrey had the chutzpah to argue that he couldn’t afford to comply with the order to repay $238,300. However, Jeffrey laughingly offered to pay $2,500 a month.
Johnny’s claim of poverty was proven to be pure BS when the FTC proved that:
Johnny’s average annual earnings is $400,000
He spends more than $3,100 a month in car payments for a BMW, a Porsche Turbo, a Jeep Wrangler and a Harley motorcycle
Obviously, Jeffrey is a big time loser and deadbeat who finds it acceptable to thumb his nose at a court’s order for him repay the FTC.
Because Attorney Misfits in California are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, the State Bar has never taken any action against Jeffrey for his contemptuous conduct towards Judge George’s order.

And lastly, as one would suspect, Jeff fails to mention the misconduct set forth above on his self-serving website at www.jeffreybenice.com. Apparently, he chose to conceal this relevant information from prospective clients for the purpose of not limiting his future victim pool.

As we speak (ca. March 2012) Jeffrey is practice law at the Law Offices of Jeffrey S. Benice at 3080 Bristol Street in Costa Mesa.
