Magistrate Judge Paul Meyers of Cincinnati; certified Dufus and Loser

Unfortunately, the Ohio Supreme Court presented Paul Meyers with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Northern Kentucky University School of Law.

Judge Meyers works as a magistrate in the Domestic Relations Court in Hamilton County (Cincinnati). Magistrates in Ohio are not elected, thereby denying the folks they mistreat the opportunity to defeat them at the polls. They are appointed by the Domestic Relations Judges and are therefore never answerable to the electorate.

Almost all magistrate judges in Ohio obtained their appointments by acting as compliant lackeys for the local political establishment. Furthermore, it’s obvious that they couldn’t make it in the private sector because no self-respecting law firm offered them a well paying job.

Moreover, in almost every instance the salary of about $62,000 is the best paying job most of these losers have ever held. Most are hoping that there brown-nosing with local political hacks will payoff with an appointment as a Common Pleas Judge, which pays $121,350 a year.
Unfortunately for Mark Byron of Cincinnati, his divorce and child custody case was being adjudicated by Judge Paul Meyer.

In a successful effort to forever cement his status as a Judicial Misfit, Meyers threatened Mr. Byron will a 60-day jail sentence and a $500 fine unless he posted the same apology on Facebook.com every day prior to 9 a.m.

It is apparent that Judge Meyers fails to appreciate what the 1st Amendment means in that he had the chutzpah to rule that Mr. Byron was prohibited from expressing his displeasure with his asinine rulings in his ongoing custody dispute case.

Buffoons (my apologies to buffoons) like Judge Meyers is exactly what you get when the only requirement to becoming a judge in family court matters in Ohio is a distinguished record of kissing the substantial derrieres of party political hacks.

The Ohio Supreme Court should order that Judge Paul "The Dufus" Meyers apologize on Facebook.com every morning for 90 days for being a certified Dumbo.
