Judge Nelly Baghdasarian of Armenia; ethical goblin   

The Armenian Judicial Council found Nelly guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, Judge Baghdasarian refused to rule on petitions dealing with the pending criminal case of former President Robert Kocharian regarding pre-trial arrest that had been filed by his lawyers and the prosecutors.

Judge Baghdasarian improperly recused herself from the case. She had the chutzpah to claim her decision was based on questions of her impartiality raised by the prosecution.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Supreme Judicial Council punished Judge Baghdasarian by gifting her with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. May 2019), Baghdasarian continues to sit as District Court judge in Yerevan, Armenia.
