Judge Margaret Walsh of Albany, NY; ethical goblin

The Judicial Standards Commission found Judge Lozano guilty of the following misconduct.

The state Commission on Judicial Conduct is investigating Margie for engaging in the following misconduct.

• Ticketed for leaving the scene of a crash
• Witness to crash told police that Margie sped away after backing into unoccupied vehicle parked across the street from her mother’s home
• Offered a plea deal to plead guilty to reduced violation of parking on a pavement
• Margie laughingly claimed she was unaware she had struck the VW van
• The ticketing officer said it was hard to believe that Margie didn’t know she had struck the VW van
• Margie also laughingly stated she never heard the police officer who went to her home after the crash
• Claimed she couldn’t hear the officer knocking on her door because she might have been showering or washing her face (does she wash her face with a garden hose?)
• The ticketing officer said it was hard to believe that Margie didn’t know she had struck the VW van
• Owner of VW van said he would have been stuck with paying $500 deductible if neighbor hadn’t witnessed Margie crashing into his van

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Margie by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Conduct Commission. At worst, she’ll receive a complimentary admonition.

As we speak (ca. May 2019), Margie continues to sit as an Albany County Family Court judge in Albany, New York.
