Attorney Frederick Schwartz of Chicago; lying loser

The state of Illinois presented Frederick Lewis Schwartz with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from Northern Illinois University School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Freddy guilty of the following misconduct.

In one matter, while representing an employer, and without obtaining authority from that employer to do so, Freddy signed a memorandum of agreement on the employer’s behalf which, once ratified by union members, would bind the employer to a collective bargaining contract. When his conduct was discovered, he repeatedly and falsely claimed he had not signed the agreement and that union representatives had forged his signature.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Illinois Supreme Court punished Freddy by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license, effective April 2019.

As we speak (August 2019), Freddy will resume his practice with Barnes & Thornburg LLP at One North Wacker Drive in Chicago, Illinois in October 2019.
