Attorney Herbert Moncier of Knoxville, TN; ethical troll

The state of Tennessee provided Herbert Sanford Moncier with a law license in 1970 after he graduated from the University of Tennessee School of Law.

The Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility Herbie guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in a conflict of interest
• Repeatedly interjected insurance issues into a proceeding during punitive damages phase of trial after Court clearly gave him notice that such questions would not be tolerated
• Engaged in conduct intended to disrupt an ongoing jury trial
• Misconduct involved selfish or dishonest motive
• Refused to acknowledge the wrongful nature of his conduct
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
• Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal
• Violated or attempted to violate Rules of Conduct or knowingly assisted or induced another to do so or did so through the acts of another

And lastly, the comedians on the Tennessee Supreme Court ordered that Herbie take 12-hours of ethics classes. It is rumored that Herbie opted to attend the Huey “The Kingfish” Long Institute of Ethics at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Tennessee Supreme Court punished Herbie by gifting him with a complimentary 45-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2019) Herbie practices at 550 West Main Street in Knoxville, Tennessee.
