Attorney Susan Allen of Dallas; ethical goblin

The state of Texas presented Susan Anne Allen with a law license in 1983 after she graduated from St. Mary’s University School of Law.

FYI: St. Mary’s is ranked as the 178th best law school in the country out of 202 ABA accredited schools, meaning its basically dedicated to accepting losers that could get into schools like the University of Texas.

The District 6 Grievance Committee found Suzie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Settled five cases but failed to pay the medical providers for the services they furnished to the clients in those cases
  • Failed to promptly notify medical providers of receipt of funds owing to them
  • Failed to promptly deliver funds owing to client medical providers
  • Ordered to pay restitution of $15,000 to Dr. Michael W. Howe

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Suzie by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Suzie.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Suzie practices with the Law Office of Susan Anne Allen PLLC in Dallas, Texas.
