Attorney Brigida Rodriguez of Dallas, TX; ethical goblin

The state of Texas presented Brigida Rodriguez with a law license in 2004 after she graduated from Hamline University School of Law.

The District 6 Grievance Committee found Brigida guilty of the following misconduct.

• Neglected legal matter entrusted to her
• Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
• Failed to comply with client information requests
• Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Brigida!)

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Brigida by gifting her with a complimentary stayed 24-month suspension of her law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Brigida.
