Attorney William Shurling of Macon, GA; enabler for Judicial Misfits, liar

 
The Georgia Supreme Court presented William Shurling with a law license in 1970 after he graduated from Mercer University Law School.
 
At one time George was a Magistrate on the Bibb County Court. During his tenure on the court, criminal charges were brought against Judge Dorothy Pertilla for pocketing cash payments for presiding over marriages. For more info on Judge Pertilla go to the URL listed at the end of this article.
 
Judge Pertilla was subsequently charged with misconduct by the Judicial Commission. While the Commission was investigating Pertilla and while she was suspended, Billy the Enabler for Judicial Misfits gave two positive merit reviews on behalf of Pertilla. Those hyperbolic (BS) reviews said in part:
  • Her attendance has been satisfactory
  • Since her last employee appraisal, she has improved
  • Her overall job performance has been outstanding
  • She has completed an extraordinary volume of work
  • The quality of her work is unusually high-grade
  • She thinks quickly and logically in all situations
  • Her judgment can always be depended upon
Apparently, Bill’s lips were moving when he made these laughable comments.
 
As we speak (ca. Jan 2012) Bill continues to practice law in Macon.
