The state of Colorado presented Veronica Reyes with a law license in 2010 after she graduated from the University of Colorado School of Law.
Disciplinary Counsel found Veronica guilty of the following misconduct.

Failed communicate with the client

Failed to explain a matter so as to permit the client to make in-formed decisions regarding the representation

Commingled client funds with personal funds

Failed to maintain certain records relating to trust accounts and client billing

Failed to client’s interests upon termination of the representation

Failed to properly communicate how the family’s daughter could adjust her immigration status

Consistently failed to place client funds in a trust account and to keep records of the funds she received from the family

Failed to properly supervise her sister in accordance with her duties regarding nonlawyer assistants

Failed to keep an appropriate recordkeeping system

Failed to reconcile her trust account records

Failed to protect a client’s interests upon termination of the representation
As a consequence of her misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Colorado Supreme Court punished Veronica by gifting her with a complimentary 6-month suspension of her law license effective March 19, 2019.
As we speak, (ca. April 2019), Veronica will resume her practice of law in September 2019 in Aurora, Colorado.
