Attorney Robert Odle of Colorado Springs; ethical troll

The state of Colorado presented Robert Phillip Odle with a law license in 1988 after he graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct

  • Engaged in a conflict of interest
  • Improperly treated $1,700 fee as earned upon receipt
  • Hired by nonprofit to assist victims of domestic violence and subsequently represented the victim Ms. M in a replevin (return of her personal property) case against her ex-boyfriend
  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Bobby asked Ms. M to see a movie with him, saying he was “offering friendship” Within days, Bobby called her “darling girl” and said she was beautiful
  • Subsequently, Bobby falsely told Ms. M that he was no longer her attorney and thus suggested that she go to a movie with him
  • Bobby also invited Ms. M to  dinner on two occasions
  • Violated prohibition on having sexual relations with a client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Appeals Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension effective March 1, 2019.

As we speak, (ca. April 2019), Bobby’s practices with Odle Law LLC at 121 South Tejon Street in, Colorado Springs, Colorado will resume in September 2019.
