Attorney B. Michael Cormier of Portsmouth, NH; ethical gremlin

The state of New Hampshire presented B. Michael Cormier with a law license in 1991 after he graduated from Widener University School of Law.

The Board of Bar Overseers found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Violated or attempted to violate the Rules of Professional Conduct, knowingly assisted or induced another to do so, or did so through the acts of another
  • Violated duty he owed to his client
  • Failed to follow proper procedure for withdrawing from a case
  • Engaged in negligent conduct
  • Potential harm to client was significant

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Professional Conduct Committee punished Mikey by gifting him with complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Mikey practices in Concord, New Hampshire.
