Attorney Evol Lyn-Cook of Jamaica; slacker, loser

The Jamaica Licensing Commission provided Evol W. Lyn-Cook with a law license in 1992.

The Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Counsel found Evol guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to stamp the Agreement for Sale when the agreement was signed by the Vendor and the client
  • Waited ten (10) years after agreement signed to submit it to the Stamp Commissioner even though it should have been submitted within 30 days after it was signed
  • Failed to promptly submit the executed agreement was inexcusable and deplorable
  • Due to ten-year delay, the client was forced to additional expense to retain the surveyor and an attorney to obtain sub division approval
  • Breached duty of care owed to his client

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Committee punished Evol by gifting him with a complimentary $350,000 ($2,775.00 US) fine .

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Evol practices with Golding & Company practices at 18a Duke Street in Jamaica.
