Attorney Lynden Wellesley of Jamaica; ethical troll

The Jamaica Licensing Commission provided Lynden G. Wellesley with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from the University of West Indies School of Law.

The Disciplinary Committee of the General Legal Counsel found Lynden guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in professional misconduct
  • Acted with inexcusable and deplorable negligence or neglect
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Committee punished Lynden by ordering that he pay his client (victim) $4 million ($56,800 US) and a complimentary fine of $2 million ($28,400.00 US).

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Lynden practices at 45 Duke Street in Jamaica.
