Attorney Kevin Murphy of of Ottawa, CAN; ethical troll

The Law Society of Upper Canada presented Kevin Mark Murphy with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from University of Ottawa School of Law.

The Law Society of Upper Canada Disciplinary Committee found Kevin guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in professional misconduct
• Engaged in dishonorable or questionable conduct in his professional practice
• Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on integrity of the legal profession
• Needlessly abused witnesses
• Failed in his duty to be courteous and civil to those engaged on the other side as counsel for the Crown and counsel for other involved persons
• Engaged in ill-considered or uninformed criticism of the competence, conduct and advice of other lawyers

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Kevin by gifting him a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license and assessed him with $10,000.00 in costs regarding the ethics investigation.  

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Kevin practices with Public Prosecution Service of Canada Ottawa-Gatineau at 800-160 Elgin Street in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
