Attorney Satwant Merwar of Toronto, CAN; ethical gremlin

The Law Society of Upper Canada presented Satwant Singh Merwar with a law license in 2002 after he graduated from University of Ottawa School of Law.

The Law Society of Upper Canada Disciplinary Committee found Satwant guilty of the following misconduct.

• Engaged in professional misconduct
• Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Satwant!)
• Engaged in professional misconduct

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Satwant by gifting him a complimentary 1-month suspension of his law license and assessed him with $3,500.00 in costs regarding the ethics investigation.  

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Satwant practices with Merwards Professional Corporation at 392 The East Mall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
