Attorney James Rinehart of Phoenix; lying slacker

The state of Arizona presented James P. Rinehart with a law license in 1980 after he graduated from Cleveland-Marshall University School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Jimmy guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to communicate with client
  • Failed to consult with client so client can make informed decision about representation
  • Failed to expedite client litigation
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonest or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Failed to return client phone calls
  • Delayed filing an affidavit with the probate court and failed to publish a notice of hearing which resulted in further delay to the client’s case
  • Misrepresented [lied] to client about status of a court filing

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed costs of the disciplinary proceeding in the amount of $1,200.00.

In addition, Jimmy was ordered to pay restitution of $1,807.00 to his client [victim].

As we speak (ca. May 2019) Jimmy practices with the Rinehart Law Firm PLLC at 22849 North 19th Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.
