Judge Ernest Kollra of Ft. Lauderdale; ethical troll

The state of Florida provided Ernest Kollra with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Nova University School of Law.

The Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission found Judge Kollra guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Improperly introduced partisan politics into non-partisan judicial campaign
  • During interview with Sun Sentinel newspaper editorial board in May 2018, Judge Kollra  was asked about his personal political affiliation, and he improperly responded that he is a registered Republican
  • In June 2018, improperly participated in a judicial candidate forum hosted by the Hills Democratic Club, Judge Kollra
  • Concluded a stump speech by telling the attendees that he had recently received the endorsement of the Dolphin Democrats

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Florida Supreme Court punished Ernie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2019), continues to sit as a 17th District Court Judge in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
