Attorney Susan Light of Tucson, AZ; slacker, loser

The state of Arizona presented Susan A. Light with a law license in 1986 after she graduated from the University of Arizona School of Law.

The Arizona State Bar found Suzie guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to file a memorandum with the court as ordered in family law case
  • Misconduct involved multiple offenses
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Failed to appear for the OSC hearing by claiming she did not receive notice of the relevant minute entry due to computer problems
  • Court held Suzie in contempt for her failure to file the memorandum and ordered her to pay a fine to charity
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Failed to communicate with client

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Arizona Supreme Court punished Suzie by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license and ordered to pay $1,343.75 for the costs of the ethics proceedings.

As we speak (ca. April 2019) Suzie practices with Ames-Light & Associates PC at 4779 East Camp Lowell Drive in Tucson, Arizona.
