Attorney Scott Rumizen of Beachwood, OH; greedy fraudster

 

The state of Ohio presented Scott Andrew Rumizen with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from the University of Toledo School of Law. Toledo is ranked as the 152nd best law school in the country out of 205 accredited ABA schools.

 

The Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court Scotty guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Acted with selfish and dishonest motive
  • Engaged in a pattern of misconduct
  • Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice
  • On at least 13 occasions, underpaid law firm re: payment of fees received

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Scotty by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license effective February 2019. 

 

As we speak (ca. March 3019), Scotty will resume his practice with Rumizen & Weisman Co. Ltd at 28601 Chagrin Blvd in Beachwood, Ohio in August 2019.
