Attorney Michael Begovic of Cincinnati; ethical gnome

The state of Ohio presented Michael Joseph Begovic with a law license in 2016 after he graduated from the University of Cincinnati School of Law.

The Cincinnati Bar Association found Mikey guilty of the following misconduct.

• On at least twenty-five (25) falsely claimed to be associate of a law firm in substitution of counsel notices
• On at least five (5)occasions falsely claimed to be associate of law firm in signing re: instruction for service of pleadings/motions
• Falsely claimed to be member of The Moore Law Firm while filing motions on at least nine (9) occasions
• Failed to advise legal malpractice insurer that he was associated with a suspended attorney
• Failed to establish/maintain trust account to preserve client funds

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Mikey by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of his law license effective February 2019. 

As we speak (ca. March 3019), Mikey will resume his practice at 44 West Freedom Way in Cincinnati, Ohio in August 2019.
