Attorney Jasdeep Pannu of Burlington, VT; loser, misogynist

The Vermont Supreme Court presented Mr. Pannu with a law license in 2005.

In August 2008, Pannu was assigned as a public defender to represent James Spearman who had been charged with one count each of Aggravated Sexual Assault, Domestic Assault and resisting arrest.

One week prior to the March 2009 trial, the trial judge issued specific orders that prohibited defense counsel Pannu from referring to the complaining witness’ sexual behavior. Being the moron that he is, as the trial was about to commence, Pannu asked the trial judge to reconsider. The judge denied Pannu’s request and noted that these rulings had been made on at least three prior occasions.

While he was cross-examining Detective Tyler Kinney, Pannu asked him if he had learned during his investigation that the complainant had had sex with three other men. The DA then moved for a mistrial, which the court granted in excusing the jury and told Pannu that he was in direct contempt of the court’s earlier rulings.

Upon finding Pannu guilty of contempt, the trial judge fined him $2,000. Subsequently, the Vermont Bar brought misconduct charges against Pannu.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the State Bar punished him by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. Dec 2011) Pannu the Loser practices his brand of law at 19 Church Street in Burlington.
