Attorney Kurt Pomrenke of Abingdon, VA; convicted of contempt

The state of Virginia presented Key Jeffrey Luethke with a law license in 1989 after he graduated from the University of Richmond Law School.

The Virginia State Bar Disciplinary Board found Kurt guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Engaged in improper communications with witness in criminal matter
  • Violated federal court order by disseminating confidential information
  • Convicted of one count of criminal contempt in federal court
  • Sentenced to two month jail term for contempt judgment
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Virginia Bar Disciplinary Board punished Kurt by gifting him with a complimentary 9-month suspension of his law license effective November 27, 2018.

As we speak (ca. November 2019), Kurt will resume his law practice at 17763 Mahogany Drive in Abingdon, Virginia in late August 2019.
