Attorney Steven Novey of Colonial Heights, VA; cheerleader for attorney felons

The state of Virginia presented Steven Brent Novey with a law license in 1995 after he graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law.

In one matter, as a member of the Disciplinary Board, Stevie sat on the reinstatement motion by convicted felon, attorney Steven Helm. For further information on the criminal conduct that involved theft of client funds and fraud visit the URL listed at the end of this article.

In his findings, Stevie had the chutzpah to agree that Helm had proven clear and convincing evidence that he is a person of honest demeanor and good moral character and that he

possesses the requisite fitness to practice law.

Stevie made his comedic findings despite the fact that it was brought to his attention that at the time of Helm’s reinstatement hearing, he owed a significant amount of money to his ex-wife for back support.

How is it possible for a convicted thief and fraudster to be a person of good moral character?

Apparently, Stevie is of the opinion that Mr. Helm had a constitutional right to earn a dishonest living practicing law.

As we speak (ca. November 2019), Stevie practices with Steven B. Novey, Attorney at Law PLLC at 201 Temple Avenue in Colonial Heights, Virginia.
