Attorney Joan Pinnock of Newark, NJ; thieving repeater

The state of New Jersey presented Joan Othelia Pinnock with a law license in 1997 after he graduated from the New England School of Law.

The New Jersey Office of Attorney Ethics found Joan guilty of the following misconduct.

Joan’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to refund unearned portion of fee (crook)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to provide a client with writing setting forth the basis or rate of fee
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to turn over file to client after termination

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Joan by gifting her with a complimentary reprimand.

Joan’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in a pattern of neglect of client matters
• Failed to communicate with client
• Failed to properly supervise office staff
• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Neglected client legal matters
• Misconduct involved gross neglect of matters entrusted to her
• Engaged in conduct involving fraud, deceit, dishonesty or misrepresentation
• Obtained significant money from clients and did little work on their matters
• Due to her gross negligence, one client was forced to return to Russia
• Caused great harm to her clients

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Joan by gifting her with a complimentary 3-month suspension of her law license. 

As we speak (ca. March 2019), Joan practices with The Law Office of Joan O. Pinnock at 972 Broad Street in Newark, New Jersey.
