Attorney Carol Adelstein of Cleveland, OH; ethical goblin

The state of Ohio provided Carol Beth Adelstein with a law license in 1988 after she graduated from Cleveland State University School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Carol guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Commingled client funds with personal funds
  • Failed to maintain general ledger for Key Bank account
  • Failed to perform/maintain monthly reconciliation of Key Bank account
  • Failed to deposit unearned fees into trust account
  • Withdrew advanced fees prior to earning them
  • Engaged in conduct adversely reflecting on fitness to practice

As one would suspect, this isn’t Carol’s First Bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. She previously received two (2) complimentary suspensions of her law license for failing to pay her annual attorney license fee.

As a direct consequence of her misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Carol by gifting her with a complimentary 30-day suspension of her law license.

As we speak (ca. April 2019), Carol practices at 283 Corning Drive in Cleveland, Ohio.
