Attorney Sanjay Bhatt of Columbus, OH; slacker, repeat offender

The state of Ohio provided Sanjay Kris Bhatt with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Capitol University School of Law.

Disciplinary Counsel of the Ohio Supreme Court found Sanjay guilty of the following misconduct.

Sanjay’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to communicate with clients
• Failed to keep client apprised of status of matters
• Failed to advise clients he did not have legal malpractice insurance
• Failed to hold disputed funds in trust account until dispute resolved
• New complaint
• Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal
• Knowingly made a false statement of material fact to a third person
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Sanjay by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

• Knowingly disobeyed an obligation under the rules of a tribunal
• Knowingly made a false statement of material fact to a third person
• Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Ohio Supreme Court punished Sanjay by gifting him with a complimentary 30-day suspension of his law license.

As we speak (ca. May 2019), Sanjay practices with the Bhatt Law Office at 2935 Kenny Road in Columbus, Ohio.
