Attorney Daniel Geller of West Vancouver, BC; repeat offender

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Daniel B. Geller with a law license in 1974.

The Law Society of British Columbia Disciplinary Committee found Danny guilty of the following misconduct.

Danny’s 1^st bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Failed to maintain books, records and accounts in a legible form
• Failed to record all funds received and disbursed in connection with his practice by maintaining books, records and accounts as required
• Failed to record transactions in chronological order and in an easily traceable form
• Failed to maintain a general cash book or synoptic as required
• Failed to maintain an accounts receivable ledger or other suitable system as required
• Failed to maintain copies of bank validated duplicate deposit slips for all deposits made
• Failed to record each general transaction promptly as required
• Failed to keep file copies of all billings to clients
• Failed to record all funds received on account of fees or disbursements in his general books and accounts as required
• Failed to immediately deliver a bill or issue a receipt for funds he received
• Failed to add and balance your general cash book and synoptic journal at least monthly

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Danny by gifting him a complimentary reprimand and a $2,000 fine.

Danny’s 2^nd bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree

• Engaged in illegal practice in the Yukon while license suspended
• Illegally provide legal advice over the phone to a person in prison

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Upper Law Society Committee punished Danny by gifting him a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2019), Danny practices at 5349 Montiverdi Place in West Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
