Former Judge Charles Edwards of Morgantown, NC; slacker, loser

The state of North Carolina presented Charles Thomas Edwards with a law license in 1977 after he graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law

The North Judicial Standards Commission found Charlie guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Took nearly 4-years to issue judgment in marital property distribution matter
  • Engaged in serious misconduct
  • Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Judicial/Attorney Misfits sitting on the North Carolina Supreme Court punished Charlie by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. March 2019), Charlie continues to sit as a 25th Judicial District Court Judge in Morgantown, North Carolina.
