Attorney Brian Kaminski of British Columbia, CAN; thieving loser

The Law Society of British Columbia presented Brian Kaminski with a law license in 1993 after he graduated from Georgetown University School of Law.

The Law Society of British Columbia Disciplinary Committee found Brian guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Admitted to stealing more than $33,000 from former law firm
  • Accepted $33,426 from nine clients, deposited the money into a personal account instead of the law firm’s corporate account
  • Lied to his law firm partners about the thefts in order to cover it up

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Brian’s First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He was the subject of a conduct review in 1996 over an inappropriate letter he sent for a client threatening to report a former employer to the authorities. In a second matter, he was fined $7,500 after he breached an undertaking in a real estate transaction.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Disciplinary Committee punished Brian by gifting him with a complimentary 60-day suspension of his law license.

Because Attorney Misfits in British Columbia are held to a much lower standard of conduct then everyone else, Brian was never criminally charged with grand theft.

As we speak (ca. February 2019), Brian practices at 8525 Baxter Place in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada.
