Judge William Roberts of Morehead, KY; ethical leprechaun

The state of West Virginia presented William Warner Roberts with a law license in 1999 after he graduated from the University of Kentucky School of Law.

The Judicial Conduct Commission found Billy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Involved in auto accident in March 2018
  • Fled the scene of March 2018 accident
  • Failed to maintain high standards of conduct
  • Failed to uphold integrity and independence of the judiciary
  • Failed to act in matter promoting public confidence in the integrity of the judiciary
  • Failed to be faithful to the law (scofflaw)

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Kentucky Supreme Court punished Billy by gifting him with a complimentary 7-day suspension from the bench.

As we speak (ca. February 2019), Billy continues to sit as a 21st Judicial District Judge in Morehead, Kentucky.
