Attorney Matthew Gilmond of Rutland, VT; ethical gremlin

 

The State of Vermont presented Matthew Gilmond with a law license in 1992 after he graduated from Widener University School of Law.

 

The State Bar Court found Matty guilty of engaging in the following misconduct.

  • Failed to effectuate a settlement that his client had reached with an opposing party
  • Failed to communicate with the client
  • Engaged in conduct involving misrepresentation and dishonesty while dealing with his client and opposing
  • counsel.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar Court punished Matty by gifting him with a complimentary 6-month suspension of is law license.

 

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Greg practices in South Hero, Vermont.
