Attorney Robert Barron of Salt Lake City; Dufus, slacker

The state of Utah presented Robert J. Barron with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from Oklahoma City University School of Law.

The Ethics and Discipline Committee of the Utah Supreme Court found Bobby guilty of the following misconduct.

• Failed to act with due diligence (slacker)
• Failed to provide competent representation (Dufus)
• Failed to communicate with client
• Incorrectly instructed client regarding the proper forms to be filed and the filing process regarding immigration matter
• Advised the client he was checking to obtain the correct filing information but he failed to promptly comply with the client’s written requests for status updates or provide further information

As a consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Utah Supreme Court punished Bobby by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Bobby practices with the Law Office of Robert J. Barron at 311 South State Street in Salt Lake City, Utah.
