Attorney Michael Blickman of Indianapolis; ethical gnome

The State of Indiana presented Michael A. Blickman with a law license in 1978 after he graduated from Boston College School of Law.

The Disciplinary Commission found Mikey guilty of engaging in the following misconduct involving his representation of former Park Tudor coach Kyle Cox and Park Tudor, a prestigious prep school regarding evidence that Cox had exchanged sexually explicit texts and messages.

  • Failed to immediately report suspected child abuse
  • Client representation adversely affected by his close personal relationship with
  • Engaged in conduct prejudicial to the administration of justice
  • Implored victim of criminal act and her family to not cooperate with law enforcement
  • Engaged in conduct the purpose of which was to stop or limit a criminal investigation of a third person
  • Asserted a non-existent privilege to delay or hinder a criminal investigation
  • Possession and copying of child pornography
  • Failed to advise his client to fully cooperate with authorities where there was a lawful duty to do so
  • Failed to recognize child abuse
  • Failed to recognize the serious criminal nature of Cox’s conduct
  • Attempted to prevent the child and her family from cooperating with authorities
  • Failed  to recognize the client’s lawful duty to immediately report the child abuse
  • Failed to recognize a conflict of interest based upon his personal interests
  • Conflict involved Mikey’s relationship with Cox by attending his wedding, playing golf with Cox and attending Park Tudor sporting events with Cox
  • Cox’s wife was a personal trainer for Mikey and his wife

It should be noted that Mikey’s self-serving website at www.icemiller.com fails to mention the aforementioned misconduct. Apparently, the firm decided to conceal this highly relevant information so as to not limit its future victim pool.

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Mikey by the cheerleaders for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Indiana Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Mikey practices with Ice Miller at 1 American Square in Indianapolis, Indiana.
