Judge James Palmer Jr. of Toms River, NJ; ethical gremlin

The state of New Jersey presented James Palmer Jr. with a law license in 1985 after he graduated from Temple University School of Law.

The Advisory Committee on Judicial Conduct found Judge Jimmy guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to observe high standards of judicial conduct
  • Failed to comply with the law
  • Lend prestige of judicial office to pursue personal interests
  • Failed to observe standards of integrity and independence of the judiciary

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the cheerleaders for Judicial Misfits sitting on the New Jersey Supreme Court punished Jimmy by gifting him with a complimentary censure.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Jimmy continues to sit as a Superior Court, Civil Division, Ocean Vicinage Judge in Toms River, New Jersey.
