Attorney Carl H. Bundick of Accomac, VA; Dufus, ethically deprived

Attorney Carl H. Bundick of Accomac, Virginia (80 miles northeast of Norfolk) was charged with the following misconduct by the Virginia State Bar:
  • Failing to act with reasonable diligence on behalf of a client
  • Failure to act in a prompt matter in pursing a client’s claims
  • Failing to adequately explain a legal matter to a client, thereby denying her the right to make an informed decision
Carl’s misconduct revolved around his unethical conduct as a guardian for distribution of a claim involving the wrongful death of a two-year-old girl.

At the time that Carl undertook the responsibility of guardian ad litem for the little girl, he failed to file the required accountings for a period of nearly three years. When he did finally file the accountings, he did not obtain the necessary signature of the co-guardian for the girl.

As a consequence of his misconduct, the enablers for Attorney Misfits sitting on the State Bar punished Carl by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand.

As we speak (ca. Jan 2012) Carl practices his brand of law at 23318 Wise Court in Accomac, Virginia
