Judge Cary Hays III of Knoxville, GA; bullying scofflaw

The state of Georgia provided Cary Hays III with a law license in 1994 after he graduated from Loyola University School of Law.

The Georgia Judicial Qualifications Commission found Cary guilty of engaging in the following misconduct, all of which took place after Cary engaged in a shouting match with an inmate who was handcuffed, shackled at the feet, and accompanied by a law enforcement officer.

  • Judge Hays grabbed the inmate and pushed him into and up against a hallway in the courthouse
  • At no time prior to the assault by Judge Hays, did the inmate physically threaten the judge, attempt to escape or flee from custody, or threaten anyone whatsoever
  • Failed to respect and comply with the law (scofflaw)
  • Failed to act in a manner promoting public confidence in the judiciary
  • Failed to be patient, dignified and courteous when dealing litigants appearing in his courtroom

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Judge Hays by the enablers for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Georgia Supreme Court.

As we speak (ca. July 2021), Cary practices his so-called brand of jurisprudence as the Chief Magistrate Judge for Crawford County in Knoxville, Georgia.
