Judge Wendell Griffen of Little Rock, AR; scofflaw

The state of Arkansas presented Wendell Griffen with a law license in 1979 after he graduated from the University of Montana School of Law. On court since 1998

The Arkansas Judicial Discipline & Disability Commission found Wendell guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Failed to comply with the law [scofflaw]
  • Abused judicial office to advance his personal or financial interests
  • Failed to perform judicial duties fairly and impartially
  • Failed to disqualify himself from a case when disqualification was required
  • Failed to cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Wendell!)
  • Failed to withdraw from cases involving the death penalty due to his overt opposition to it

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Wendell by the apologists for Judicial Misfits sitting on the Judicial Commission.

As we speak (ca. December 2018), Wendell continues to sit as a Pulaski County Court judge in Little Rock, Arkansas.
