Attorney H. Russell Smith of Southfield, MI; ethical gremlin

The state of Michigan presented H. Russell Smith with a law license in 1983 after he graduated from Wayne State University School of Law.

The Tri-County Hearing Panel #80 found Russ guilty of the following misconduct.

• Improper use of his IOLTA trust account
• Deposited person funds into client trust account

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the apologists for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Michigan Supreme Court punished Russ by gifting him with a complimentary reprimand and assessed $757.62 in costs.

As we speak (ca. January 2019), Russ practices with Venture Law PPLC at 24333 Southfield Road in Southfield, Michigan.
