Attorney Chima Anyanwu of Los Angeles; ethical goblin

The state of California provided Chima A. Anyanwu with a law license in 2000 after he graduated from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law. West LA is a Fourth Tier Law School dedicated to taking on losers that could not get accepted into mainstream law schools such as USC, UC Davis and/or Stanford.

The State Bar Court has charged Chima with engaging in the following misconduct.

• Attempted to limit malpractice liability with client (victim)
• Failed to withdraw attorney funds in timely manner
• Failed to prepare and maintain a written journal for client trust account,
• Failed to maintain written ledgers for each client
• Failed to perform  monthly reconciliation for the trust accounts

All that remains now is to see what if any punishment is meted out to Chima for his misconduct as aforementioned. At worst he’ll likely receive a complimentary reprimand or a 30-day suspension of his law license.
