Attorney Cris Craft of Houston; cheater, repeat offender

The state of Texas presented Cris William Craft with a law license in 1990 after he graduated from South Texas University School of Law.

The District 15th Grievance Committee found Cris guilty of the following misconduct.

  • Neglected legal matter entrusted to him
  • Failed to carry out completely obligations owed to his client
  • Failed to keep client informed of status of matter
  • Failed to comply with requests for information
  • Failed to refund advance fee payments that had not been earned (cheater)
  • Failed to fully cooperate with ethics investigators (Screw you, said Cris!)

As one would suspect, this wasn’t Cris’ First bite at the Attorney Misfit Apple Tree. He previously received a complimentary 3-month suspension of his law license for engaging in a variety of misconduct.

As a direct consequence of his misconduct, the Patron Saints for Attorney Misfits sitting on the Texas Supreme Court punished Cris by gifting him with a complimentary stayed 1-year suspension of his law license.

In truth, the comedians sitting on the Texas Supreme Court didn’t mete out any meaningful punishment to Cris.

As speak (ca. December 2018), Cris practices at 20501 Katy Freeway in Houston, Texas.
